Commander, 211th Military Police Battalion (First Corps of Cadets)


LTC Cipro enlisted in the Massachusetts Army National Guard in 1991 and was commissioned in 1999 as a Distinguished Honor Graduate of the OCS program of the MA Regional Training Institute. His key assignments include; Platoon Leader, 972nd Military Police Company; Commander, 747Th Military Police Company; Battalion Logistics Officer (S4), 211th Military Police Battalion; Executive Officer, 211th Military Police Battalion; Military Police/Provost Marshal Operations Officer, 26th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade; and Provost Marshal, Joint Forces Headquarters, MA National Guard.

LTC Cipro mobilized in support of Operation Noble Eagle (2001-2002), Operation Enduring Freedom (2002-2003), Operation Iraqi Freedom (2009-20010). His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters; Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters; Air Force Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster; and the Joint Meritorious Unit Award.

LTC Cipro holds a Bachelor of Art degree in History from Worcester State College and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Anna Maria College. He is a graduate of the Intermediate Level Education Course (CGSC); Support Operations Course; Combined Arms Exercise Course; the Military Police Officer Basic and Advanced Courses; and awarded a certificate of completion for the Leadership in Homeland Security Program, from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Executive Education.

LTC Cipro is also actively involved in the International Chiefs of Police Association (IACP), and sits of both the Civilian Law Enforcement Military Cooperation Committee and the Department of Defense (DoD) Chiefs Committee.

LTC Cipro is currently employed as a Police Sergeant, for the Worcester Police Department where he has worked for the past 22 years. He is married to the former Colleen Gleason. They have four Children and one grandson.
